    New Patients

Welcome to TKM Labs. The experts in shoulder and elbow rehabilitation.

Our Doctors of Physical Therapy bring years of orthopedic experience to every visit and a commitment to help you through your recovery journey.

    Why TKM Labs

Dedicated to helping you move and feel better.

The clinicians at TKM Labs are Doctors of Physical Therapy with deep orthopedic experience. They've spent years honing their craft and are ready to create a new standard of care through TKM Labs in Salt Lake City.

What makes your visit different: every visit includes 60 minutes of one-on-one care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, we have access to the brand new Humero Tech C1® device, and we are committed to your optimal outcome. Using advanced equipment, we are able to capture real-time strength measurements throughout a range of motion; a drastic improvement compared to techniques currently utilized. This type of data allows the providers to build a treatment plan fully customized to you and the deficits of your shoulder.

    Your First Appointment

Understand the structure of your first session.

Your first physical therapy visit is the beginning of your journey back to a healthy shoulder and/or elbow. Here's exactly what to expect at TKM Labs so you can walk in confident and prepared.

    Step 1

    Initial Evaluation

We start with a careful review of your medical history, current symptoms, pain patterns, and activity level so we can understand the full picture before we even begin testing your shoulder or elbow.

    Step 2

    Physical Examination

Next, a full battery of testing will be performed on your shoulder or elbow to determine what structures are involved in causing your symptoms and to gain the information necessary to create a plan of care tailored specifically for you.

    Step 3

    Goals Discussion

We talk through what you want to get back to, whether that's throwing a baseball, lifting your toddler, or sleeping through the night without shoulder pain. Your goals shape the plan.

    Step 4

    Personalized Treatment Plan

Together, we build a treatment plan to get you back to the life activities you enjoy through hands-on care, targeted exercises, and measurable checkpoints.

    What to Wear

Dress for movement, prepare for success.

Wear comfortable clothing that lets you move freely. Just as importantly, wear something that lets your physical therapist actually examine your shoulder. A turtleneck or tight long-sleeve shirt makes it nearly impossible to assess the joint, so plan ahead.

    Recommended for your visit

    • A loose t-shirt or tank top so we can access your shoulder and upper arm easily
    • Avoid turtlenecks, button-ups, or tight long sleeves that limit shoulder access
    • Athletic shorts or stretchy pants that allow free movement
    • Supportive athletic shoes with good traction (no sandals, heels, or slip-ons)
    • If we're testing your throwing arm, bring a sports bra or compression top you'd train in
